Our Impressions

The last hike before life changed as we knew it BC – before COVID.  It was the last time I took Metro-North from NYC to the Hudson Valley, after my last day at the office.  Little did we know that life would never be the same.

Still not understanding the seriousness of what was to come, we walked past an older couple on the hike and asked them to take a photograph of us.  They were afraid to come close to us and politely refused.  It was a strange feeling, like everyone had some kind of dirty germs.

Otherwise, the weather was beautiful and spring was in the air.  The sun was shining and we quickly unzipped our jackets.  We realized that winter hiking is wonderful.  There is minimal obstruction of the panoramic views as the trees are bare.
