About The Adventure Park
The Adventure Park is an exciting, exhilarating, and unique experience that requires balance, endurance, focus, and strategy. If you ever wanted to try tight rope walking and tree hopping, here is your chance.
The park includes 14 trails that begin at the Main Platform. They accommodate all levels from ages seven and up to a maximum weight of 265 pounds.
The trails contain obstacle courses on over 185 platforms installed in trees. They are connected by cables, wood, ropes, bridges, ladders, and zip lines.
The trails are color coded, similar to ski slopes. The colors from easiest to most challenging are yellow, green blue, black, and double black. Children under 14 must be supervised on easier courses and be accompanied by an adult on more difficult courses. Children under 10 are only allowed on yellow and green trails.
Tickets include a 3 hour climbing window plus 30 minutes of instructional briefing prior to the start of the course. It is best to reserve your tickets online.
Harnesses with clips are provided and must be used for security to travel from platform to platform along the tails.
There is no fee to enter the park, only a fee to climb.
There is The Adventure Playground for the little ones, ages 3-6 years old.
Closed toed shoes such as sneakers must be worn along with comfortable clothing. Leather-palmed climbing gloves are an absolute must and can be purchased at the park. Also, wear bug spray and beware of the bees! Sheldon got stung by a bee!
Our Impressions
This was a surprise birthday present for Sheldon. He was driving but had no idea where to. I was inspired by my 11 year olds positive reviews of the park and decided why not have some adult fun? I purchased tickets for the earliest available time slot, which was 9 AM. I strongly recommend that option as the park gets super crowded later in the day. Since only 3 people are allowed on a platform at a time, there can be a lot of time spent waiting in line when the park is full of inexperienced climbers. We had the park almost all to ourselves.
We started with a blue trail. Upon first trying it, we were scared. However, the more you do it, the more expert you become. The black trail was extremely challenging, especially when we did what I call the Rings of Terror, which you can see in the video below.
This is an awesome experience for those that like active adventures that are challenging and safe.
